About Your Dentist

Dr. Johana Ortiz Aponte was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dentistry in 1991.After graduation, moved to Philadelphia to complete a General Practice Residency Program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Returned to Puerto Rico to continue postdoctoral studies and practiced for 16 years. In 2012 moved to NY. She enjoys her time with her husband in the garden, loves flowers, arts and crafts. Still visits Puerto Rico to see family, friends and enjoy the tropical weather

Dr. S grew up Colombia. In addition to travel, he also enjoy taking advantage of all that Upstate New York has to offer, including Saratoga Race Track, summer concerts at SPAC, relaxing on the Taconic sculpture park, and hiking in the Adirondacks. He earned his Dental degree from the National University of Colombia in 1998. Before arriving to the US Dr Salgado practice in Colombia and Spain as a GP. He earned his Hygienist degree from the HVCC. He attended the Lutheran Medical Center Dental residency in Boston, graduating in 2014. He then received his post-doctoral training at the St Peter’s Hospital. Since 2015 he has been proudly serving Saratoga Springs, Albany, Latham, and surrounding areas.
